Rediscover Life Beyond Addiction: Expert Counseling for Lasting Recovery
I'm Dusty Harryman, and I believe everybody struggling with addiction has the ability to change.
With a deep commitment to empowering individuals on their journey to recovery, I bring a wealth of experience spanning all levels of care—from inpatient to outpatient treatment settings. I graduated with honors with a BS in Psychology from PSU and went on to earn a Master's degree in Counseling and Human Services from Washburn University, graduating at the top of my class with a 4.0 program GPA.
My professional insights have been recognized at the highest levels, as I was invited to serve as a Subject Matter Expert on a panel for developing future testing standards for addiction counselor certifications for the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium. Drawing from my personal experience in long-term recovery, I employ a unique blend of motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral techniques within a client-centered framework, offering authentic and empathic support.
My practice is built on the belief that everyone has the capacity for change and, with the right strategies in place, can achieve sustained recovery and growth. My sessions prioritize genuine, conversational interactions that feel more like chatting with an old friend than being "therapized", ensuring clients feel heard, supported, and empowered on their path to recovery.
